Individual obstetrics: AOK strengthens pregnant women in Marburg!
At the University Hospital Gießen and Marburg (UKGM) in Marburg, a new era begins in obstetrics. AOK insured pregnant women now benefit from more individual care, which is secured by a recently concluded quality contract. This contract, which applies to obstetrics at the Marburg location, was not only initiated by the AOK Hessen, but also developed last year by the Techniker Krankenkasse (TK) and the Barmer, in cooperation with Asklepios and Rhön clinics.
The quality contract comes into force as soon as pregnant women register in the clinic. The accompaniment extends over a period of up to six months after birth. This ensures continuous support that enables parents to build trust and to preserve control during the crucial moments of birth.
extensive services and goals
The new contract brings with it a variety of services. This includes individual recording talks and regular midwifery hours, in which, among other things, consistent blood pressure observation is carried out. An app for prevention of fear of birth and postnatal depression is also part of the program. The aim is to reduce the number of medical interventions during birth and the frequency of caesarean sections, except in emergencies.
The AOK and the UKGM continue to pursue the goal of increasing the breastfeeding rates and improving mother-child binding. By participating in birth preparation courses and the involvement of resident gynecologists and midwives, the care remains holistic and patient -oriented.
quality requirements and cross -sector supply
The quality contract is part of a broader movement to improve cross -sector supply. The corresponding quality requirements include rules for structural, process and result quality. Personnel, spatial and bustle requirements are set for the structural quality. These include the qualification of the midwives and the necessary equipment of the birthplaces.
- Structural quality:
- qualification of the midwives
- Management of the birthplace
- Equipment in birthplaces
- process quality:
- mandatory patient education
- Documentation of collaborations with other health facilities
- result quality:
- Review of the relocation rates for extra -clinical births
The GKV top association is responsible for checking these requirements. Regular quality management tests and external audits are on the agenda to ensure that the quality of obstetrics is not only adhered to, but is continuously improved. In the event of deviations from the quality standards, further training measures and internships can be arranged.
Overall, the new quality contract between the AOK and the University Hospital Gießen and Marburg shows that the obstetrics are not only important on medical care, but also on the emotional support and well -being of the parents. A concept that was developed in the best interest of mothers and newborns.
