Art hits faith: Innovative exhibition on the Lord's Prayer in Dillenburg!
In the Catholic Church in Dillenburg, a special exhibition will take place on Tuesday, May 13th. This includes twelve artistic interpretations of the Lord's Prayer, which the association art and faith . The aim of the exhibition is to offer visitors new perspectives on traditional prayer and to question the often thoughtless words of the Lord's Prayer.
Visitors have the opportunity to hear various papers from the Lord's Prayer via a terminal. These settings are part of a comprehensive project that has been successfully carried out for several years and wants to strengthen the prayer life of many people. The combination of musical and visual elements should enable a deeper examination of the content of the prayer.
Various offer and creative events
In addition to the exhibition, a spiritual offer will take place in the church on Friday, May 16, at 5 p.m. The exhibition of the pictures will be distributed over several locations from Monday, May 19th to Monday, May 26th. These include:
- Four pictures in the "Lichterkirche"
- Four pictures in the Protestant parish hall on Zwingel in Dillenburg
- Four pictures in the ecumenical clinic pastoral care of the Vitos Clinic in Herborn
At each of these locations, creative offers are also provided for visitors. Entry to all events is free.

Jochen Rieger was able to win well -known Christian authors who wrote twelve lyrics about the statements of the Lord's Prayer. These songs are set to music in a gentle pop style and offer a harmonious addition to the exhibited pictures.
The paintings presented as part of this exhibition have a size of 100 x 70 cm. The successful combination of music and art creates a valuable offer for the municipalities and churches, which enables deeper insights into the message of prayer.
