Mozart's The Magic Flute returns to the Bonn Opera House!

On March 1, 2025, the Bonn Opera House will celebrate the resumption of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's timeless opera "The Magic Flute". This performance is one of the best known and most played works in opera history. The action follows Prince Tamino and his friend Papageno, who embarks on an exciting adventure to free the prisoner Princess Pamina. Tamino, who fell in love with Pamina, the daughter of the Queen of the Night, has to pass various exams that put his confidentiality, steadfastness and courage to test. The music combines elements of the serious and comic opera, including the famous arias of the queen of the night and the catchy melodies of Papageno. The premiere took place on September 30, 1791 in the Freihaustheater on the Wieden in Vienna and soon enjoyed great popularity. The month of March has numerous other events for those interested in culture in the Bonn area. On March 4, Jazz will be offered in Köllenhof with the band "Franz & Friends". The Pantheon also offers an extensive cultural program that ranges from cabaret to comedy to live music. One of the special highlights is the cabaret of Teresa Reichl with "Until now" on March 6, Christoph Fritz on March 12th and Serdar Somuncu on March 14th.
