Massive closures on the A40 in Duisburg: chaos in front of construction sites!
The A40 near Duisburg will again be affected by full closures, especially in the area of the Kaiserberg cross. These measures that begin on February 14 are part of extensive renewal work on bridges, streets and ramps. The first full closures took place on January 17th. As ruHR24.de were reported due to a winter breakout. The following blocks will be determined in the coming weeks:
- First blocking: February 14th to February 17th (road towards Venlo).
- Second closure: February 20 to February 24 (oncoming lane towards Essen).
During this time, a steel protection device is installed and traffic is led to narrowed lanes in both directions in both directions. Traffic impairments are therefore to be expected.

The construction work is part of the new building of the Kaiserberg motorway junction. In the next few weeks, a protective scaffolding for the central structure A3/A40 will be built.
