Kleider-Tauschmärkte in Speyer: Schnäppchenjagd für nachhaltige Mode!
On March 26, 2025, a number of clothes exchange markets will be announced in Speyer, which are under the motto "Exchange instead of buying". The first dates in 2025 are set for April 5 and November 8. This event takes place between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the municipal rooms of St. Hedwig, Heinrich-Heine-Straße 8. The exchange market is organized by the Speyer-West district management in cooperation with the youth promotion of the city of Speyer.
The aim of these markets is to add new use and promote awareness of sustainable consumption. Participants can hand in their disused clothing and exchange them for other articles, which enables a second life for many clothing. The clothing is accepted before the events, and on several days in various facilities. Interested parties have the option of receiving exchanging ribbons during the acceptance period that regulate access to the exchange exchange.

The clothing acceptance and output of the exchanges of the exchange takes place as follows:
- House of the K.E.K.S.: Monday, March 31 and Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Youth promotion Speyer: Wednesday, April 2 and Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- st. Hedwig: Friday, April 4 from 6.30pm to 8pm and Saturday, April 5 from 9 a.m.
With the clothing exchange exchange on April 5, participants can only take part with an inlet bracelet from 10 a.m. to 11.30 a.m., from 11.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meals are provided: the Abitur year of the Hans-Purrmann-Gymnasium sells coffee and cake to support its Abitur fund. The markets are also supported by pupils from Erlichschule Speyer.

In addition to the planned exchange market on April 5, June 29, 2024, a special clothing exchange market will take place in the rooms of the municipality of St. Hedwig. This enables the participants to give their clothes and exchange them for other clothing. The clothing is accepted on Friday, June 28, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, from 9 a.m.
On this day there is also a "drag path". From 11.30 a.m. to 1 p.m., all those who want to take unusual clothing can take this opportunity. The process will continue to work further in the next few weeks. The events are a cooperation between the Speyer West, K.E.K.S. and youth promotion.
