Work show communication design: creative ideas in the spotlight!

On Friday, February 7, 2025, the Trier University of Applied Sciences opens its doors for the work show of the communication design course. This event will take place on Friday, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the building S am Paulusplatz 4 in Trier. After a four -year break, this is a special opportunity to experience and discover the creative work of the students.

The work show offers a versatile presentation that includes projects in numerous areas. This includes three -dimensional design, book design, typography, digital media, drawing, transmedia photography and artistic experiments. Particular attention is paid to current topics and technologies, such as artificial intelligence, sustainability and the interfaces of society, art and design science. The event promotes the individual handwriting and creative ways of the students, which is supported by the cross -media and practical teaching of the university.

The organization team and the lecturer

The work show team consists of talented students: Adriana Cevallos Acosta, Lea Cyriax, Muriel Juchem, Susanna Meninno and Fabian Veit are responsible for the organization. Under the guidance of Julia Schygulla, M.A., lecturer for communication design at the university, an extensive program was drawn up that reflects the creative results of the past few years.

Review of previous work

The work show follows the successful event in May 2023, where various creative projects were presented. This included typography, illustration, photography and also modern media such as VR and moving image. There was also an emotional farewell to the long -time professor Andreas Hogan, who worked for 32 years at the university and was known for his commitment in typography.

During the event in May, visitors experienced lectures and workshops from renowned experts such as Olaf Leu, Sven Fuchs and Lera Guievska. These events contributed to promoting the creative atmosphere at the Trier University of Applied Sciences. The illumination of the university during the three event days also left a lasting impression.

The upcoming work show on February 7th and 8th promises to build on this tradition and to offer a deep insight into the world of communication design. It offers a platform for creative exchange and shows the developments of students in the context of current social and technological challenges.
