Serious accident on BAB 60: False drivers ensure chaos and closure!

In the early morning hours of May 3, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the BAB 60, between the bathroom and Spangdahlem junction. At 02:51 a.m., the police received several calls about a false driver. A few minutes later, a serious accident was reported between the Landscheid and Spangdahlem junction. According to initial information, there was a frontal collision between at least two vehicles, which exacerbated the situation.

The Autobahn 60 in the direction of Belgium was completely blocked from the Landscheid junction. The police are therefore asking to refrain from press inquiries because further details are to be published at a later date. Fortunately, the control did not result in any evidence of alcohol or drugs, and no other road users were endangered. Nevertheless, an investigation against the driver was initiated. Witnesses and victims of the incident were asked to report to the Prüm police inspection, by phone at 06551-9420 or by email to pipruem.dgl@polizei.rlp.de.

The situation on the motorways in the region shows the continuing challenges that can arise from unsafe driving practices. The police appealed to all road users to always be attentive and adhere to the traffic rules to ensure security on the streets. The authorities are continuously working on minimizing such dangerous incidents and promoting public security.
